About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our team at Elsevier Limited Company. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with our business transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into compliance matters, including interviews and report preparation.
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to our Sales team on transactional matters, including contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tools and resources that enhance contract management efficiency.
  • Deliver high-quality legal services to the organization, ensuring effective risk management and compliance.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in compliance and/or litigation matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior transactional contracting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • High understanding of integrity and authenticity.
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to deliver successful solutions.
