About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our Financial Operations department, you will be responsible for leading our procurement efforts across the UK and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Procurement team, including line management of Procurement Specialists.
- Identify and deliver tangible results through cost reduction and service performance.
- Work with the Head of Financial Operations in managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organisation.
- Manage the supplier onboarding process to ensure the most appropriate and competitive suppliers are being used.
- Review and assist with Requests For Proposals (RFPs) to ensure the best outcomes for procurement efforts.
- Regularly review procedures and processes to ensure control, compliance, and efficiency across the Procurement function.
- Liaise regularly with key company stakeholders to ensure that you are always aware, at the earliest stage possible, of their product and service needs.
- Provide additional support and expertise to the Procurement Specialists in respect of licensing renewals and managing external talent negotiations.
- Assist with high-value contract renewals, including the review of commercial terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Be responsible for the preparation of monthly reports to be used by the Board and other internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience and track record in leading successful procurement efforts, preferably with experience in managing a team.
- Broad procurement experience with particular emphasis on indirect procurement.
- CIPS qualified.
- Strong negotiation skills, and able to challenge costs when appropriate.
- Positive and solutions-based approach to handling requests and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, and able to build and maintain trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and vendors.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working in the tech sector, or games or entertainment industries.
- Experience working with software licenses.
