Job Title: Team Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Manager to lead a team of Social Workers within Childrens Social Services. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to support the team in delivering high-quality social work practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Social Workers to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people in need of social work support, assessment, and intervention.
  • Manage a team of Social Workers and other staff within a social care service and a wider Children, Young People and Families Directorate.
  • Ensure high-quality social work practice and achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Support and supervise a team of Social Workers, including oversight of incoming children's contacts and decision-making.
  • Chair strategy meetings for children who may have suffered or are at risk of suffering significant harm.
  • Manage the timely allocation of children for support to the wider early help and children's safeguarding service.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Team Manager or similar role within a social care service.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of Social Workers and other staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
