About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our underwriting team, ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new and existing business mailboxes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of correspondence.
  • Perform data entry and record keeping tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Organize and maintain our diary system, ensuring efficient scheduling and coordination.
  • Issue policy documents, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriters and network of brokers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Action ad-hoc requests, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an insurance, financial, or risk sector, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
