Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of individuals, working with them to develop and implement personalized recovery plans.
  • Advocate for individuals, ensuring their rights and needs are respected and met.
  • Utilize a recovery tool to assess and address the holistic needs of service users.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local services and resources, providing effective signposting and support.
  • Engage in regular feedback and reflection, striving for excellence in practice and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to plan and deliver therapeutic sessions, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Conduct one-to-one sessions with individuals, identifying areas of support and developing strategies for their recovery.
  • Support and mentor volunteers, promoting their growth and development within the service.
  • Encourage service users to participate in the development of Birmingham Mind and its services, fostering a sense of ownership and community.
  • Embody the values of Birmingham Mind, upholding professionalism and excellence in all aspects of practice.
About You
  • Experience working in the mental health sector or related fields, with a strong understanding of recovery principles and practices.
  • Ability to work one-to-one with individuals, delivering workshops and promoting wellbeing and social support.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and GDPR regulations, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting service user autonomy.
  • Confident and calm approach to managing challenging situations, with a strong emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Experience working within diverse and multi-faith communities, with a strong appreciation for the importance of cultural sensitivity and awareness.
