Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Intellectual Property Lawyer to enhance our esteemed IP Litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in a diverse array of disputes and advisory tasks for clients across various sectors, including:

  • Fashion
  • Film
  • Video Games
  • Esports
  • E-tailing
  • Music
  • Merchandise
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • High-quality training and relevant experience

Experience in a reputable IP practice is essential, and completion of the Oxford IP Diploma course is preferred.

Expertise Required

Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive background in various types of IP disputes and litigation, including:

  • Trademarks
  • Designs
  • Copyright

Experience in a wide range of IP matters is crucial, such as:

  • Litigation in the High Court and IPEC
  • IP Office proceedings
  • Domain name disputes
  • Online enforcement
  • Pre-dispute advisory work
Additional Skills

Hands-on experience with litigation tasks at various stages of cases is highly desirable, including:

  • Evidence preparation
  • Interim injunction mediation
  • Costs budgeting
  • Disclosure
  • Trial preparation

Experience in non-contentious IP work, such as drafting IP agreements (licenses, settlement agreements, etc.), along with the ability to address broader contract and tort issues, will be advantageous. Familiarity with advertising clearance and disputes, as well as consumer protection issues, is also beneficial.
