Accounting and Bookkeeping Expertise

Armstrong Knight is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to provide support to their internal team and conduct bookkeeping and data processing for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in using Sage 50 Accounts and Xero.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the internal bookkeeping team with day-to-day tasks
  2. Process bookkeeping and data for clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  3. Maintain and update accounting records using Sage 50 Accounts and Xero
  4. Manage purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  5. Prepare VAT returns and other financial reports as required
  6. Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email, responding to queries and requests for information
  7. Visit client premises to provide bookkeeping support and liaise with clients
  8. Prepare management accounts and provide financial insights to clients
  9. Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion
Requirements
  1. Previous bookkeeping experience is essential, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  2. Proficient in using Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new software quickly
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues
  4. Ability to work under supervision, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
  5. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to meet the needs of individual clients
