About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Children's Community Support Worker - Higher Level to join our specialized Continuing Care Team. This team provides vital respite services to children and their families facing complex health needs or profound disabilities within the comfort of their own homes across East & North Hertfordshire.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert nursing care to children with complex health needs in a home setting, working independently without direct supervision.
  • Master essential skills such as enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, long-term ventilation management, seizure control, and oxygen administration.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Actively participate in your professional development and contribute to the growth of the team.

Essential Requirements

  • A strong understanding of infection control and universal precautions.
  • Basic IT skills or a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to travel between locations.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts when required.
