Role Overview
This position involves responding to and resolving vehicle breakdowns in the field, performing changeovers, and executing minor repairs on-site.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to and repair breakdowns promptly
- Conduct changeovers and minor repairs at the roadside
- Manage parts inventory and booking as necessary
- Adhere to health and safety protocols
- Deliver high-quality repairs or temporary fixes to ensure buses return to the depot
- Foster effective working relationships with team members
- Maintain accurate breakdown documentation and ensure all records are current and correctly filled
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the engineering manager
Candidate Profile
- Must possess a valid UK driver's license
- UK residency is required
- A PCV license is not mandatory but is a plus; assistance will be provided to obtain one if needed
- Relevant on-the-job experience is essential
Shift Pattern: Rotating schedule covering 5 out of 7 days, including early and late shifts on weekends.
Compensation: £14.00 per hour
