About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technician Trainee to join our team at First Bus. As a Technician Trainee, you will play a key role in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of buses, working closely with our experienced engineers to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of vehicle faults, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work with senior technicians to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 2 NVQ standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Valid Cat B driving license (essential)
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
