Our Building Services division specializes in comprehensive Facilities Management services throughout the UK. We provide a wide range of mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance to ensure seamless operations for our clients.

The Opportunity: Mobile Multi-Trade Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Multi-Trade Engineer to join our Commercial Property Maintenance team. You will be responsible for providing essential maintenance services across commercial buildings in Zones 1 and 2 of London.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, respond to reactive calls, and analyze faults effectively.
  • Carry out fault finding and plant adjustments, ensuring the proper functioning of electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Perform a range of multi-skilled duties, including re-lamping luminaires, troubleshooting electrical wiring systems, motors, generators, lighting systems, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and cleaning foul water systems, drains, and M&E systems such as ductwork, plumbing, and heating.
  • Adhere to engineering standards and HASAWA legislation when undertaking reactive and extra work requirements.
  • Implement and comply with company health and safety policies, statutory obligations, and the Skanska IFE (Injury Free Environment) framework.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily work sheets, maintenance, and inspection reports.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours rota as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • Electrical City & Guilds qualifications (Part 1 and 2 or 'A' and 'B') or equivalent, along with experience in Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Health & Safety IOSH Working Safely qualification or a similar certification.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong teamwork and independent working skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
