We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Financial Planning practice based in a reputable financial services company who are looking to recruit a Financial Services Administrator to join their team.

ROLE

  • Acting as a key point of contact between clients, advisers and third-party product providers
  • Establishing and maintaining electronic client files and records
  • Processing new business applications, maintaining accurate information and recording transactions
  • Sourcing quotations, illustrations and supporting documentation for financial products
  • Preparing valuations, reports and material for client meetings and presentations
  • Ensuring that all work adheres to the firm's compliance procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Following established procedures, systems and templates for processing work and maintaining quality standards
  • Acting on own initiative to ensure workload is prioritised in a timely and efficient manner
  • Dealing with correspondence and ensuring that all client communications are polite and respectful

PERSONAL

  • Maintaining and increasing technical knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge in a financial services context
  • Keeping CPD records in accordance with the firm's training and development plan
  • Ensuring that all client financial and personal affairs remain confidential and are not discussed with third parties without client permission
  • Maintaining an awareness of new financial products and market developments
  • Ensuring that both internal and external communications are polite and respectful and to represent the firm in a professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITIES

  • Using best endeavours to continually improve upon qualifications and skills by following a programme of personal development as agreed with the firm
  • Maintaining an acceptable knowledge of the Regulatory framework and financial services regulations

SKILLS

  • Understanding information and documentation required to process new business, claims and amendments to existing client policies and investments
  • Keyboard and computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and other financial software
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with colleagues, clients and companies
  • Letter writing skills and information presentation
  • A high degree of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of the Regulatory framework and financial services regulations
  • Knowledge of financial services products and services
  • Experience of provider investment platforms and financial software
  • Experience within the financial services industry
