We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Category Development and Global Perfect Store Lead for our office in Maidenhead. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with key customer contacts and internal stakeholders, serving as the senior point of contact for key retailers.
- Utilize insights to develop strategic partnership projects aimed at strengthening key focus categories.
- Identify relevant long-term Category Growth Drivers, with quantifiable sales impact, and demonstrate how in-store and online tactics will deliver growth.
- Lead a team of 2 FTEs to deliver category management and manage range reviews with focus customers.
- Drive Karo distribution, quantity, and quality of shelf placement across all customers through the team.
- Foster a culture that remains unbiased and objective, yet commercially aware and communicates decisions clearly.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and other standards as directed by Karo.
- Develop a clear Perfect Store approach for Karo, defining key levers for Omni, B&M, and Online environments.
- Design tools that are simple and easy to embed in the focus markets of UK, Norway, and Sweden to drive excellence.
- Support country managers in building the right Category Development approach in their markets.
- Partner with the CCO and UK CM to define long-term strategic focus for Category, expanding the approach based on need and opportunity.
Requirements:
- Degree-educated professional.
- At least 5 years of experience in health and beauty or FMCG.
- Experience and evidence of application of core category management skills as a manager and preferably as leading a team.
- Strong understanding of category analysis and key category drivers.
- Experience with Nielsen, Space Planning, IRI, Kantar, or similar.
- Experience of building category visions and perfect store execution.
- Multichannel experience, i.e., Pharmacy/High Street and Grocery is preferred.
- Multiple market experience and/or success at influencing teams with limited 'power' or direct line responsibility is a plus.
