Domestic Abuse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our team at Clarion. As an IDVA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to victims of domestic abuse, helping them to regain control of their lives and achieve a safer future.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to victims of domestic abuse, helping them to identify and address the risks and dynamics of their situation.
- Work closely with clients to develop personalized support plans, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Stay up-to-date with current legislation and best practices related to domestic abuse, including data protection and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, building trust and confidence in your ability to support them.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A formal qualification in IDVA or a willingness to undertake IDVA training.
- Sound knowledge of current legislation and best practices related to domestic abuse.
- Experience in adopting a trauma-informed approach to client work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to continue developing your skills and expertise as an IDVA.
