We are seeking a dedicated and caring professional to join our team as a Nursery Assistant at a reputable pre-school in the Sheffield area.
This role will involve working in the Baby Room, supporting the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and educational activities for young learners.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and be capable of supporting our young learners during their critical developmental stage.
Responsibilities- Assist in the daily activities and routines of the nursery, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging and educational activities, promoting positive behavior and social interaction among children.
- Help with snack time, including preparation and cleanup, maintaining a clean, tidy, and stimulating environment.
- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction among children, promoting a nurturing and joyful environment where children can thrive.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of child development and early years' education principles.
- Reliable and punctual.
