Apprentice Nursery Practitioner

Required from August 24 onwards. Are you looking to start your career in a rewarding environment? If so kick start your career with Childcare You will be required to have completed a level 2 childcare in order to progress to the Level 3.

You will be joining the nursery to complete your apprenticeship for a period of 12-15 months, where you will be studying for a work-based qualification whilst you are with us and the nursery will support you with the experience required to achieve this.
You will complete a work based **Childcare Level 2 or level 3 qualification**, depending on previous qualifications you may also complete Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
Nursery is open for **50 weeks a year from 7.30-6**, so flexibility is required to work between these times. However, there may be the possibility of reduced hours outside term-time. Please note, your shifts and hours may change on a weekly basis.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- To support nursery practitioners and work as part of the nursery team
- To provide high quality childcare and education
- To assist in the planning and implementation of activities for the children in the area you are working in
- To work alongside staff ensuring a safe environment for all children, staff and visitors to the setting
- To be flexible and help where needed
- To work to the policies and procedures of the setting, support the safeguarding procedures & maintain confidentiality at all times
**Skills required**:
- Reliable, honest, attention to detail
- Confident, clear telephone manner
- High levels of initiative, attitude and enthusiasm
- Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Grades A-C in English and Maths or equivalent

Pay: From £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
