The ideal candidate will thrive in a positive work culture that prioritizes Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) aspects and be keen to contribute to the company's continuous improvement journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to employees on various HSE matters.
  • Support the objectives of HSE management systems and strategies.
  • Conduct internal audits of HSE management systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety inductions to new employees.
  • Collaborate in HSE meetings, working groups, steering committees, and other forums to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in or lead HSE investigations as needed.
  • Manage HSE training requirements and platforms.
  • Coordinate with HR on occupational health, display screen equipment assessments, and other necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in Eco Online reviews and ensure accurate input of employee and environmental data.
  • Support the planning and execution of external audits, including ISO 45001, 45003, and 14001 management standards.
  • Ensure proper management and storage of HSE-related documents and artifacts for accessibility by stakeholders.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or working towards)
  • Proficiency in functional HSE management systems
  • Familiarity with statutory tools and resources for decision support (e.g., HSE and Environment Agency websites)
  • A strong understanding of competency and when to provide advice
