Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor

Roke is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Romsey. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, as well as the environmental sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to Roke employees.
  • Support the objectives of Roke's HSE management systems and strategies.
  • Conduct internal audits of HSE management systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety inductions to new employees.
  • Collaborate in HSE meetings, working groups, steering committees, and other forums to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in or lead HSE investigations as needed.
  • Manage HSE training requirements and platforms.
  • Coordinate with HR on occupational health, display screen equipment assessments, and other necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in EcoOnline reviews and ensure accurate input of employee and environmental data.
  • Support the planning and execution of external audits, including ISO 45001, 45003, and 14001 management standards.
  • Ensure proper management and storage of HSE-related documents and artifacts for accessibility by stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or working towards)
  • Proficiency in functional HSE management systems.
  • Familiarity with statutory tools and resources for decision support HSE and Environment Agency websites.
  • Strong understanding of competency and when to provide advice.
  • Experience in internal investigation and audits is desirable.
  • Knowledge of ISO management standards 45001/3 and 14001 is advantageous.
