About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a Senior Lawyer, you will provide specialist legal support to our Pensions and People & Places teams, working closely with senior management and executives to deliver strategic and technical advice on Group pensions matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with trustee advisers and external counsel on corporate transactions and restructurings
  • Review and advise on pension documentation, including scheme rules and supplementary deeds
  • Correspond with regulatory bodies, including the Pensions Regulator and the Pensions Ombudsman
  • Provide commercially focused advice on complex transactions and occupational pensions law
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Group to support matters core to our strategy

Requirements

  • Current UK legal practicing certificate
  • 5+ years' PQE in pensions law or a related field
  • Experience in providing commercially focused advice on complex transactions and occupational pensions law
  • Knowledge of the wider legal and regulatory environment, including the regulatory landscape for occupational pension schemes
