About the Role

We're seeking a qualified legal professional to join our Cardiff office, providing trusted legal advice to our commercial teams and contributing to new products and initiatives. As a Commercial Legal Advisor, you'll have the opportunity to work on a varied commercial legal workload, with strong drafting and negotiating skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with our business teams to draft, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements, while maintaining and improving the processes that underpin them.
  • Providing day-to-day legal perspective and guidance, as well as risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Advising our business teams on compliance with data protection and e-privacy laws.
  • Assisting with acquisitions and corporate integration projects.
  • Helping to establish and manage a framework of policies and guidance to manage legal and commercial issues within our business.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-4 years' post-qualification experience in-house or at a commercial or corporate law firm, with experience providing full-service commercial legal support.
  • An appreciation of the challenges and requirements of delivering legal support in a fast-moving commercial in-house team.
  • Qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales (or another common law jurisdiction).
  • Proven technical ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements to tight timescales.
  • Experience of advising on IT, data protection/e-privacy laws, as well as commercial and corporate law.
