Job Title: Agricultural Recycling Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Recycling Manager to join our team at 4R Group. As a key member of our recycling service team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of our recycling service contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the recycling service, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Interact effectively with clients, land-owners, suppliers, and environmental regulators to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Secure suitable outlets for recycling operations, including agricultural land and land restoration sites.
  • Manage sub-contractors and land-spreading applications, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Conduct field pollution risk assessments, mapping, data collection for EA/NRW permits, post-application inspections, stockpile storage management, and RAMS.
  • Collect and submit soil, water, and product samples for laboratory analyses.
  • Assist with organizing and managing HGV movements between client production sites and recycling outlets.
  • Ensure cost control and operate within contract budgets.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, defined Health & Safety standards, 4R Quality Management Systems, and ISO accreditations.
Requirements:
  • Agricultural experience/knowledge required.
  • Understanding of the benefits of by-products as fertilisers and soil conditioners advantageous.
  • Knowledge of environmental issues affecting soils, air, and water.
  • Experience of contract management.
  • FACTS qualification would be an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of the waste regulatory environment in the UK.
  • IT: user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and used to mobile/flexible working environment.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 per annum depending upon experience, reviewed after 6 months.
  • Company Vehicle: Use of 4R company vehicle and fuel card.
  • Holiday: 33 days inclusive of public holidays.
