The Opportunity

We are seeking fieldwork staff to assist our Behaviour Change team in various projects across the UK. As a fieldworker, you will be responsible for:

• Conversations with Household Residents: Engaging with householders to understand their waste and recycling habits, providing service information, and motivating them to make sustainable decisions.
• Recycling Monitoring: Visually assessing the quality of recycling placed out for collection, identifying items that should not be in the recycling bin, and evaluating the effectiveness of waste and recycling campaigns or service changes.
• Participation Monitoring: Working closely with recycling collection crews to assess resident participation in existing recycling services.
• Recycling in Flats Assessment: Evaluating the location, cleanliness, and effectiveness of bin storage at communal properties.

Fieldwork activities are typically short-term and come up on an ad hoc basis. We are currently looking for fieldworkers to join us in Torfaen and Maldon. The role requires flexibility in work commitments and the ability to work away from home for short periods. You will be expected to be on your feet for most of the day and may be required to use a tablet to enter data. Full training will be provided, with all training hours paid.

We are a Living Wage Employer and offer competitive hourly pay, holiday pay, and subsistence allowance. No previous experience is required, but you must be reliable, motivated, and willing to do hands-on work.
