Clinical Skills Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Skills Educator to join our team at the University of Hertfordshire. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for our Master in Physician Associate Studies Programme.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing engaging teaching activities that support student learning, setting and marking formative and summative assessments, and acting as a project supervisor for the programme. You will also provide academic and pastoral support for students as a personal tutor and facilitate direct communication with students and support communication from other departments within the University.
Additionally, you will contribute to Programme Committee Meetings, Programme Team Meetings, and other subject group meetings and working groups as required, and attend the Module Boards of Examiners as needed. You will also inform curriculum development within the programme, including the revision of existing modules, and contribute to the introduction of new modules and teaching methods.
As a Clinical Skills Educator, you will be expected to undertake research and scholarly activities, as appropriate, and possess a strong commitment to reflective practice and continual improvement.
Essential CriteriaTo be considered for this position, you must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a health professional discipline or equivalent experience. You must also have current registration with the General Medical Council or other UK health professional regulator, or if a Physician Associate, possess current UK Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Registration at commencement of the post.
You will be required to produce a 'Certificate of Good Character/Conduct' from each country where you have lived outside the UK for 12 months or more in the last 10 years. An appointment to this role may also require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.
