Overnight Warehouse Operations Supervisor

We are seeking to hire a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for the night shift at Wincanton. This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual to engage in a dynamic and demanding logistics setting, focusing on optimizing warehouse performance.
As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring that high standards of quality, accuracy, and cleanliness are upheld. You will support the Shift Manager in overseeing the shift and leading a small team effectively.
Shift Schedule: 22:00-06:00
Compensation: Up to £39,468 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement – Actively promote and participate in corporate social responsibility initiatives to prioritize the morale and well-being of all team members. Continuous Improvement – Support ongoing improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative environment with all staff. Health and Safety – Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by performing tasks according to established procedures and maintaining safe working practices. Communication – Maintain a high level of communication between team members and management, ensuring information is shared effectively. Culture and Values – Uphold and promote the values and culture of both the company and its clients. Customer Service – Ensure that contractual service levels are met through efficient warehouse operations. Team Management – Oversee productivity and attendance of warehouse staff. Operational Issues – Keep senior management informed of any operational challenges, particularly those affecting service delivery. Team Briefings – Conduct briefings at the start of each shift to ensure all team members are informed about daily work expectations. Staff Development – Train and mentor operational staff to enhance their skills.What do you bring to the table?
