Registered Care Manager

Varang Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to lead our domiciliary care service in the local community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing an effective and efficient home care service, providing high-quality care to vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and deploy teams of care workers to provide care and support to vulnerable adults.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and approved practice.
- Participate in strategic management of the company.
- Meet and exceed financial and growth targets.
- Implement supervision and appraisal policy for all staff.
- Ensure scheduling is carried out efficiently to enable care staff to spend allocated care time with service users.
- Ensure care staff follow agreed care and service user plans.
- Keep appropriate records within service users' homes.
- Confirm visits and times through signed timesheets.
- Recruit sufficient staff to meet service users' needs.
- Liaise with office staff to plan marketing activity and make recommendations.
- Ensure company recruitment procedure is followed.
- Ensure all care staff undergo required training and complete the Care Certificate.
- Identify development and training needs for staff and source training programs.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment, training, and supervision.
- Keep accurate records of sickness, holiday, and other absence for all staff.
- Conduct initial assessments, including care needs assessments and health and safety risk assessments.
- Keep records of assessments and take actions to mitigate risk.
- Ensure a safe working environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Manage complaints, compliments, and comments, including remedial action and record keeping.
- Meet requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll and invoicing.
- Collect monies due from care workers in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain harmonious working relationships with Local Authority representatives.
- Attend and participate in Local Authority meetings as appropriate.
- Manage the office budget and operate as a profit centre.
- Report statistics daily/weekly/by period to the Operations Director.
- Ensure effective and timely communication within the office and with stakeholders.
- Apply company policies and procedures relating to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Provide on-call and care services as required to ensure safe and efficient output of the business.
