Key Responsibilities- Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people.
- Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
- Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
- Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
- Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
- At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
- Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
- Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
