Art and Design Specialist Teacher

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working 9 hours a week spread across 3 days, the hours are as follows:

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver Art and Design lessons
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, psychologists, and ICT specialists to extend students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
  • Maintain a professional relationship with students, mentoring them and effectively encouraging them to enjoy their studies

About You:

  • Must have a teaching qualification
  • At least 2 years of experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Knowledge of Art and Design subject specialism
  • Experience in planning and marking
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies
  • Understanding of actions or situations that might be considered as discrimination and how to prevent them
  • Punctual, well-organized
  • Caring, dedicated, and patient
