About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Development Underwriter to become part of our Professional Indemnity team. This role focuses on evaluating and underwriting risks associated with products and accounts from designated brokers. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to foster new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
The ideal applicant will possess a solid background in underwriting Professional Indemnity risks, along with exceptional analytical skills and financial insight. This position includes a new joiner bonus and the flexibility to work in a hybrid model at SPE Travelers Management, LTD.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite risks for products and accounts from designated brokers.
- Make informed and timely decisions within the scope of underwriting authority.
- Formulate and implement sales strategies for assigned brokers.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues across various business units.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in underwriting solicitors' professional indemnity is essential.
- A degree is preferred.
- ACII qualification is advantageous.
