Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of children in Hertfordshire schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the direction of the class teacher to devise and plan learning activities for individual children, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Support and report on pupils' educational progress, providing valuable insights to teachers and parents.
  • Cover the class teacher during their PPA time, taking on additional responsibilities to ensure seamless learning.
  • Take small groups of children to enhance their learning experience, fostering a love for education.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification and a passion for enhancing children's education.
  • Strong abilities to develop trusting relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work calmly and sensitively in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
  • Basic IT skills and understanding, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
