We are partnering with a leading business in the manufacturing sector to find an experienced procurement professional to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will have end-to-end category management experience across direct commodities and be able to hit the ground running from day one.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple commodities.
- Build relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business activities.
- Support and manage multiple projects from cradle to grave, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team and business.
- Develop and lead procurement processes across sourcing and operational procurement processes.
- Highly experienced in direct procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in an international market, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills.
- Ability to work independently and undertake projects on their own initiative.
- Ideal candidate will have a degree and/or MCIPS qualification, although this is not essential.
