Job Summary

Kenton Black Science & Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for managing a team of microbiology technicians and providing technical assistance to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of microbiology technicians to ensure the highest level of quality and productivity.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior staff members to support their professional development.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure new team members have the necessary skills and competencies to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with laboratory quality standards and ISO 17025.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels in the laboratory at all times.
  • Perform technical and analytical procedures with due regard for written procedures, maintaining accurate records and producing high-quality results on time.
Requirements
  • Degree in Science or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Proven experience working within a microbiology testing laboratory.
  • Excellent experience working in a high-throughput environment.
  • Good laboratory skills and practices.
  • Proven management skills and experience is ideal.
