About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join our client's dynamic team in Derby. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the city's future by overseeing and coordinating planning, development, and regeneration projects.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of dedicated planners and support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects align with the city's strategic development goals.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, while liaising with regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions for complex planning and zoning challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with local, regional, and national planning regulations and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
  • Proven experience in town planning, with a track record of successful projects.
  • Strong understanding of local planning policies, regulations, and the development landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., RTPI).
