Groundwork East is seeking a skilled Fundraising Officer to join our team in the East of England. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in securing income for our activities across the region.
About the RoleThe Fundraising Officer will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new income sources, developing and writing bids, and contributing to the annual income of the Trust. You will work closely with business development colleagues and delivery staff to achieve our fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the external funding environment to identify suitable sources of charitable trust and foundation funding and tender opportunities for projects and programmes of activity.
- Develop and write high-quality, persuasive copy to bring our charity's work to life for potential funders.
- Build relationships with charitable trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, local authorities, and central government to secure funding.
- Contribute to the development of our fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with experience of successful grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, or similar. You will have demonstrable experience of undertaking high-quality research and a genuine interest and enthusiasm for fundraising work.
