Caretaker - Domestic Services

Henderson House Care Home is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant (Bank) to contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for our residents.
Our care home provides person-centered care, including Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for 60 residents. We strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure the well-being of our residents.
Your Role:
- Maintain a spotless environment by providing thorough domestic cleaning services throughout the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices.
- Ensure a safe and sanitary environment by performing all cleaning tasks in line with hygiene standards.
- Care for various floor surfaces, including carpets and hard floors, through meticulous cleaning and protection.
- Maintain furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Keep sanitary fixtures and fittings hygienic and well-stocked by performing regular cleaning and replenishment tasks.
- Manage waste removal effectively by removing refuse regularly and disposing of it properly.
- Clean vertical surfaces diligently without the use of access equipment.
- Contribute to the daily well-being of residents by assisting them with settling into their new environment.
- Effectively manage laundry services, ensuring they meet guidance and expectations. Safely handle and label personal belongings.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, infection prevention, and fire safety regulations within the laundry and wider care environment.
- Collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure that laundry services and overall cleanliness are maintained effectively.
