Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Community Use team as a Caretaker/Cleaner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the delivery of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers and service users, responding to enquiries and requests in a positive and professional manner.
  • Clean and maintain all designated areas to a high standard, preparing and clearing equipment and areas as required.
  • Operate in accordance with service guidelines, health and safety policy, and follow all associated risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all building compliance checks are completed periodically, including fire safety checks, water quality checks, and asbestos monitoring.
  • Act as a nominated key holder, responsible for ensuring the building is open at designated times and secured correctly at the end of each working day.
  • Travel between different facilities, some of which may have limited public transport links.

Requirements

  • Be confident and level-headed when dealing with people at all levels.
  • Be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Have excellent team working skills.
  • Possess a basic understanding of IT and be capable of using a variety of internal systems.
  • Be able to travel between Community Use facilities, including remote Community Use facilities where limited public transport routes exist.
