Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Toolstation Limited. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets, leading and developing a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the Store Manager: Deputise for the Store Manager in their absence, provide guidance and support to the team, and contribute to the development of the store's business plan.
- Leading the Team: Coach, motivate, and engage the team to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a high level of store standards.
- Mucking In: Assist with daily tasks such as checking and unpacking deliveries, opening and closing the store, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Delivering Great Service: Provide a high level of customer service, respond to customer queries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive store environment.
- Improving Store Standards: Maintain a high level of store standards, including visual merchandising, stock levels, and store cleanliness.
- Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong understanding of sales targets, customer service, and team management.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, develop and implement business plans, and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing circumstances, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively with the team, share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to a positive and supportive store environment.
