Job Summary

Head Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Manager to join our client's team in Glasgow. As a key member of the Cyber Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's ability to identify, detect, and respond to all security alerts generated from their information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service delivery of security partners to ensure high levels of performance across detection, response, and recovery.
  • Develop and implement cyber incident response plans, playbooks, and processes to enable the security operations team to respond to incidents rapidly and effectively.
  • Build and maintain effective security operations capabilities, utilizing purple team engagements to tune and validate detection tooling.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities identified through red team engagements, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Plan and coordinate large-scale security incident response, remediation, and recovery efforts involving multiple parties and teams.
  • Manage the delivery of daily/weekly security reports.
  • Manage email security monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Robust understanding of attacker techniques, including E-criminal and state-affiliated groups.
  • Knowledge of preventing and detecting common attacker techniques and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Experience with tuning and configuring cyber security tools, such as SIEM and EDR tooling.
  • Understanding of enterprise IT networks, Active Directory, and Azure AD operations.
  • Service management of key partners.
