Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Electronics Hardware team for projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Act as an independent reviewer of electronic designs and supporting lifecycle documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Capture, develop, and validate hardware requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
  • Design, analyze, implement, and verify electronic circuits according to defined specifications, using industry-leading tools and techniques.
  • Document design activities, ensuring traceability and adherence to project, company, and regulatory standards.
  • Generate, perform, and validate hardware verification plans and procedures, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Mechanical disciplines to meet hardware requirements, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of system architectures, considering alternative concepts and trade studies to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Support system qualification and hardware/software integration activities, ensuring seamless integration and testing.
  • Assist in production NPI activities and resolve component obsolescence issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Assist Project Managers with plans, estimates, task lists, and risk management plans, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Follow robust configuration control, review, and change management processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with a strong foundation in electronics and circuit design.
  • Experience in hardware electronic engineering, with a focus on safety-critical and high-integrity systems.
  • Proficiency in design tools and techniques, including microcontroller-based circuitry, digital interface circuitry, and analogue signal measurement/conditioning circuitry.
  • Experience in leading teams of electronic engineers, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience in de-rating, reliability prediction analysis, and FMEA, with a strong understanding of configuration control and change management.
  • Ability to drive and manage PCB layout through subcontractors, with a focus on quality and delivery.
  • Awareness of embedded software to support HW/SW integration, with a strong understanding of system architectures and trade studies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to compile reports to make data-driven decisions, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, with a strong focus on project delivery and quality.
