Project Engineer

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team on our Electricity Transmission Contract. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of our OHL Delivery Teams, responsible for managing individual projects and ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets, without compromise on safety or quality.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Project/Site Managers to address day-to-day commercial and operational issues.
- Work closely with Operations Managers to resolve commercial, operational, and technical delivery issues.
- Develop and implement Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans for operational sites.
- Ensure timely programming and change notifications are communicated to support internal departments.
- Coordinate resource allocation with the Head of Operations/Resource Managers to optimize resource utilization.
- Maintain close liaison with Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress and recommend changes with the Planning and Commercial teams.
- Capture events impacting costs and programmes to update project status and forecasts.
- Ensure contract changes/compensation events are captured and evaluated with the Commercial team.
- Improve project efficiency and profitability using project control mechanisms.
- Produce Project Closeout Reports.
- Attend MES and client contract review/progress meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate time bookings, out allowance, and expenses are submitted for employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-departmental teams to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources, and implement KPIs across projects.
- Demonstrate effective prioritization, time management, and workload planning skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of UK power transmission markets, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge and understanding of contract/project management within infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects.
