Chief Building Inspector

The Chief Building Inspector is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of company facilities, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and resolve complex construction-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, manage, and execute construction projects within company facilities, generating stations, and substations.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and codes.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, purchasing, and work management teams to resolve technical and field issues.
- Ensure contractor performance meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project files, including daily logs, schedules, and contract drawings.
- Perform night, overtime, and weekend supervisory duties as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred.
- 2 years of field construction experience; Associate's Degree and 4 years of experience; or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of construction management, electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, construction, or operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Oracle.
- Knowledge of Building Code and permit requirements.
- Driver's License Required.
