About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Therapeutic Support Worker to join our team at Leader Recruitment Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of support workers to promote and support the young people in our care, providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters positive development.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure day-to-day management is facilitated in a professional and competent manner, providing the best quality care.
- Develop and implement therapeutic care plans, working closely with other professionals to provide individualized support and guidance.
- Record events, observations, and progress reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships with colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs.
Requirements:
- Experience in child-centred, therapeutic models, with a minimum of 12 months experience and a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
- Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins, with a high level of energy and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage challenging situations, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
