We are in search of a dynamic and versatile Customer Service Operations Specialist to enhance our team in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Customer Service Operations Specialist, you will manage all aspects of Export and Import logistics from initial booking to final delivery, encompassing both Sea and Air Freight. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing transportation workflows and maintaining a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective network of service providers, ensuring Savino Del Bene's offerings remain competitive and seamless. You will possess current knowledge of carrier options, documentation, customs regulations, and related commercial conditions. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to effectively coordinate with all stakeholders to meet customer expectations throughout the cargo movement process.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a freight forwarding operational capacity, specifically within Sea or Air Freight for Exports or Imports.
• Proven ability to oversee shipments from initial booking to final delivery.
• A strong focus on customer service with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with import or export processes.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficient in computer systems and adaptable to in-house software.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
