Join Our Team as a Public Access Coordinator
Are you passionate about enhancing access to the countryside? The East Sussex County Council is seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Public Access Coordinator. In this position, you will collaborate with landowners and the community to ensure safe and enjoyable access across our extensive public rights of way network.
Your Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate, you will provide expert advice related to access issues, addressing inquiries from both path users and landowners. Your role will involve navigating diverse interests and working towards mutually beneficial solutions.
This position is part of the Rights of Way & Countryside Team, which is also responsible for the upkeep and mapping of the path network. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Key Aspects of the Role:
The Public Access Coordinator position is primarily office-based, but it will also require site visits and independent work in various locations.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who:
- Possess knowledge and experience in rights of way, countryside access, or related fields.
- Can interpret maps and utilize GIS technology effectively.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Are capable of managing a complex workload with competing priorities.
- Hold a valid driving license or can show how you will meet the travel requirements of the position.
