This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and bonus structure on a hybrid work model.
To qualify for this dynamic and demanding role, candidates must possess recent hands-on experience with iSeries / AS 400, demonstrating the ability to execute upgrades, conduct performance monitoring, and manage incidents within a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with Azure fundamentals is highly advantageous as the organization transitions to cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Ensure all support requests directed to the team are handled within established service level agreements.
- Ticket and Environment Monitoring: Proactively oversee issues and lead incident resolution discussions.
- Knowledge Management: Develop a comprehensive knowledge base that is accessible and beneficial for junior team members.
- Application Deployment: Facilitate code promotions and application rollouts.
- Post-Implementation Review: Obtain confirmation from stakeholders that production deployments have been successful.
- Application Monitoring: Oversee the performance of applications within the IBM estate, including BRMS and replication processes.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to L3 Administrators to enhance their expertise.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes of issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of incident and problem management processes.
- Essential knowledge of Windows server environments.
- Proven experience in application support roles.
- Significant experience working with production iSeries systems.
- Previous experience in a financial services context is preferred.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
