Position Overview
This role offers a part-time commitment of 14 hours per week, specifically on weekends.
East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust is dedicated to providing exceptional leisure and cultural services within the community. Our facilities include several well-regarded leisure centres.
We are currently seeking candidates for the following role to enhance our existing team.
Recreation Support Staff (£24.29 – £26.56 pro rata) - Permanent Position
1 x Part-time Role (14 hours), Allander Leisure Centre
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in both aquatic and non-aquatic environments. Duties will encompass maintenance of cleanliness, supervision of facilities, and the setup and takedown of equipment. Applicants must hold a current RLSS/STA National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or be willing to obtain this certification prior to starting the role.
Background Check Requirements
All positions within East Dunbartonshire Council that require PVG/Disclosure checks are subject to specific criteria.
For roles classified as Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, successful applicants will need to join the PVG Scheme or complete a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation.
Please be aware that the cost of the necessary checks will be deducted from the first salary payment of successful candidates.
In certain cases, this amount may be repaid in installments from an employee's wages after they commence work. Approval for such arrangements will be at the discretion of HR Services Lead.
Should an employee resign before the deduction is completed, the total cost will be taken from their final salary.
The aforementioned criteria will also apply to current employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for positions requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
