We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Construction Trades Lecturer to join our 14-16 Alternative Provision at Bradford College. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our learners and contribute to our vision of transforming lives through education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach on Construction trade courses specified by the Curriculum Team Leader, Curriculum Area manager or the Head of Department for 14-16 within the college.
  • Participate actively in the development of the curriculum.
  • Enrol, monitor, and assess students on college courses, devising individual learning plans to drive their progress and meet their targets.
  • Supervise and manage students on placements and offsite visits, implementing and promoting College regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the departmental management team to maintain and promote close links with employers and training agencies.
Requirements
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Maths or equivalent.
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent.
  • Relevant Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/PSET).
  • A Level 3 qualification in a related area.
  • Experience of successful teaching/training, with evidence of performance and data to support it.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of content and methods of teaching and/or supporting learning, including the value and use of learning technologies.
