Position Overview

The role is pivotal in facilitating research initiatives within the Trust, aiding local services in executing research projects that are part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio. You will take charge of the recruitment and ongoing engagement of service users participating in research studies. The position encompasses conducting study-related procedures as necessary and providing assessment, planning, and continuous care for research participants throughout the study duration.

Key Responsibilities

This position is based at Gains Park, Shrewsbury, and requires travel and collaboration across the Shropshire region and potentially beyond.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • First-level nursing degree/qualification with active NMC registration.
  • Relevant years of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Competence in line management, training, and staff development.
  • Well-honed interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities across a multidisciplinary team and with patients.
  • Capacity to work autonomously while being an excellent team collaborator.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and travel across different geographical locations as needed to meet service demands.
