Job Summary:

Red Recruit is seeking a skilled Road Freight Planning Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods by road, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of road freight operations, including the selection of hauliers and the management of cargo combinations.
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation solutions to meet customer needs and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the logistics process.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and optimize logistics operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve logistics operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a logistics or transportation planning role, with a strong understanding of road freight operations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with transportation management systems.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws, including customs and border control procedures.
