About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our pre-construction team in Manchester. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in providing early stage cost advice to clients through Cost Planning and will be responsible for derisking complex and technically challenging schemes.

You will receive tender enquiries and present the details to the Directors, agreeing to bid or not, complete the risk register, work with the rest of the pre-con team to meet deadlines, send out and vet subcontract enquiries, conduct site visits, attend tender review meetings, build up the tender through to tender adjudication and settlement, and look for value engineering opportunities.

You will also present the financial elements of the tender in line with the clients' specification and help with post-tender negotiations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have worked for a similar Tier 1 or 2 building contractor, be able to carry out Cost Planning, and have worked on medium to large value building projects (£15-20 Million+). You will also need to have a good knowledge of the market and supply chain in the North West of England.

You will be commercially aware with an understanding of value engineering, have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Packages, and ideally knowledge of Conquest. You will also have good verbal and written communication skills.
