Job Title: Senior Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and chartered Civil Designer with a strong background in structural concrete and waterworks design, including foundations, storage tanks, earthworks, reinforced concrete, and similar flow enhancement works for the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
  • Produce design calculations and drawings.
  • Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.
  • Prepare design investigations, reports, and specifications.
  • Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional, and group standards.
  • Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
  • Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
  • Estimate hours required for design packages.
  • Present and attend IDC meetings and design presentations.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • 10 years' relevant design experience in structural and/or civil engineering.
  • Graduate or HND.
  • Good level of IT.
  • Registered with professional body and working towards chartership.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
  • Chartered engineer.
  • Experience in temporary works design, structures, and civil engineering.
  • Awareness of construction methods and materials.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
  • Experience working in the utilities, water, or railway industries.
  • Proficient in TEDs, Ansys, STAAD, and/or MATHCAD.
